Class Descriptions
This class is for everyone. It is designed to help you understand what our Christian faith and beliefs are all about. We will share our purpose and vision. You will discover how OCC can help you experience a full life and grow as a disciple of Christ. Learn what it means when you join as a member of our church family.
During the class we will discuss:
- God, Jesus Christ, and the Holy Spirit
- Mankind and Eternity
- The Bible
- Salvation
- Baptism
- History of OCC
- Making Disciples of Christ
- Our Priorities and What They Mean
- Small Groups
- How We Get Things Done
3. OCC Strategy for Fulfilling the Great Commission
- What it Means to be a Member at OCC
- How to Become a Member of Our Church Family
OC Serve is an opportunity for new and seasoned attenders at OCC to discover more about serving.
- First, in this session we unpack the Biblical perspective on serving from both the Old and New Testament which demonstrates God’s call on believers.
- Second, we take a look at the many serving opportunities available here at OCC. We then look at your skill set, interests and schedule (availability of time).
- You will then have the opportunity to actually sign up for your desired area of ministry.
For those who are seasoned attenders this is a great time to learn about all the available ministries we have. For new attendees this is your time to discover where God is calling you to serve, use your Spiritual Gifts and build up the body of Christ.

This class is designed to help you better understand our Christian faith and beliefs. Why do we put so much emphasis on baptism, and why do we participate in communion weekly? We will biblically unpack the importance of these two events and why they are a priority to OCC church. At the end of the class, if you wish to participate in baptism, we'll help set that up for you.

Would you like help in discovering your Spiritual Gifts and God-given passion for serving the body of Christ?
This seminar-style class will help you:
- Learn about each of the different spiritual gifts.
- Discover the gifts God has uniquely given to you.
- Identify meaningful ways your special gift and passion may be used to serve others and bring glory to God.
- Learn the answers to “what do I do when I serve?” and the “where should I serve?” questions.
Upon registering you will receive information for completing a spiritual gifts assessment prior to attending the first class.
